Thinking.

In the wasteland, Dexter and the wasteland wanderer are walking through a model of a city that is destroyed, like the city he was brought up in when his family died.
"You see, when the wasteland picks up an image of the world above, even when it's hidden. It appears in the wasteland. And when you come here by choice, you can control it." Dexter nods, looking around a little. "It's still... Unexplainable to why."
"It's life in evolution Zealot."
"But we don't move on. I'm over a few millennia years old. So how would it work in the real  world?"
"It's never easy to explain things. But think about it, review what you know already. Time stops there, when you're here."
"Okay." Dexter sits down on a broken down wall, and rests as the wanderer stands in front of him normally, stood up straight.
"How's your father?" Before Dexter could speak the wanderer adds. "Yes, you're real father."
"He's well... Still doesn't want me though."
"Well, your home town wouldn't exist if he did. So maybe he's keeping you away to keep learning."
"Learning what?"
"The purpose of life. You're still a child in that part of your mind Zealot. Just don't forget it, or you won't go back the next time you visit."
Dexter nods slowly agreeing with him.
"Sometimes... I don't know why, still that. half of my family survived the incident at our home town, but... Why us?"
"You had a history before, that house raid that killed your parents actually helped you, your brothers and your sister have escaped during that, when you came back the city was in flames. Don't you remember?"
"Yes.... But, it's sometimes best to forget." Says Dexter in a concerned manner.
